While it didn't start out as Dorks & Corks, the idea that led to this project came one cold December day in Portland, Oregon.
Its tough to determine who sent out the first invite, but the original group began to build one invite at a time. In the end, there were around 15 people from 3 different countries and 5 different states that met up on December 9, 2006 in rainy Portland to watch the Oregon Ducks basketball team play the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the annual Pape Jam. Afterwards, we made our way into the city to celebrate another Ducks' victory and recruited even more into our group.
While the official group has grown, this core group has helped fuel the flames beneath this project by continuing to recruit, travel, and participate in group events.
