Code of ethics
It’s pretty simple really: We don’t post things that we don’t believe. I recommend wines, food, and restaurants because I like them, not because of some pay-to-play. There is well-delineated advertising on the site and if somebody really wants to speak to my readers directly, they can buy some ad space.
I do take advertisements through Google ads but I have no control over the content of the box that I essentially lease to Google. Those ads are pay-per-click ads so I make usually pennies each time that you click on one of those.
Privacy Policy
We're a community site that works like a real life community. If you find people that are not being good community members, contact us and we will sort it out. Like in a community, don't put your personal information out where people can grab it.
Policies are pretty simple too:
You control your personal information.
Dorks and Corks helps you share information with your friends and people around you. You choose what information you put in your profile and the bottles you have, including contact and personal information, pictures, interests and groups you join. If you DO NOT want to share your information, please DO NOT share your information :)
You may access the information of others.
Don't post what you don't want others to search, don't access what you don't want to see. Everything will be so much better if we just do that.
Legal notice
Dorks and Corks serves up information about wine and occasionally spirits. The intended audience is of legal drinking age in the country of residence. By reading the site you accept that you are of legal drinking age.
The wineries, logos, brand names and other community posted items are meant to be information only. If you would like an item to be removed, please contact us.
