Dorkiest Story:
I had braces - AND headgear when I was a teenager. I think if anyone takes a look at any pictures I may have from my Chile days they are bound to see the "dork" in me. White high-top Reebok sneakers, JEAN shorts that had a waist so high it covered my rib cage and those free t-shirts we all get from give aways that are six sizes too big were all staples in my wardrobe. I don't know if I mentioned that at that time I had never heard of "footie" socks either -- which means yes, I did still wear the scrunchy socks. I'll disclose that this was in the year 1999.
